Working with the Niagara Economic Development Corp., Destination Niagara, and the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Michael Altman developed placebranding for Ontario’s Niagara Region*. The issue was not one of awareness—the name enjoys worldwide recognition—rather the story “beyond the Falls.”
The challenge: find the common thread that links the region’s diverse assets from specialized manufacturing to heritage; large urban centers to rural areas.
The solution: an award-winning placebrand that connects Niagara’s assets into a compelling yet authentic theme of “originality.”
