The Challenge: Engage senior association leaders in strategic and meaningful conversation around how their workforce, industries and members are changing and how they will continue to create value for the communities they serve going forward.
The Outcome: Together with Vicki Johnson and Kristie Chang of Vicki Johnson & Associates, we convened 25 association executives across a variety of sectors including healthcare, technology, transportation, education, financial services and more for a one-day intensive workshop designed to bust open the existing association model, break old paradigms, and challenge how they approach community engagement and creating customer loyalty.
Our promise to attendees was to create a setting where fellow association executives would explore how their respective organizations can establish an ongoing dialogue to understand the future landscape of associations, leverage the power of their brand, engage the member of tomorrow, and revamp their conference(s) to provide lifelong learning and value.
First, Ruth Wieder digitally captured and mapped the high-octane conversation that took place between audience and expert panel that focused around the future of meetings and how can they be designed to truly engage, deliver maximum value and build enduring loyalty?
Then, our World Cafe allowed small groups to further focus the conversation around two big questions:
- What do all the changes we have discussed so far mean to our current and future membership model?
- How will big data, data analytics AI and other technologies be leveraged by your association going forward?
